name: Jessica
alias: Pixie
age: 17
where are you? Newcastle, UK. It’s in the North and I’m here for college. My home is in the South.
picture:

I love this picture. I’m the girl, obviously, and the other person is my boy.

choice picture that you have taken/found/drawn/etc:

Dogs is snoods are great. In fact, snoods are the funniest things ever.

paper or plastic?
Paper. It’s harder to write on plastic, and besides that, paper can soak up spilt water. You can use it to write a message in a bottle on a desert island.

polka dots or stripes?
That’s tricky; I think I’ll go for stripes on the basis that I own more items with stripes.

canteloupe or antelope?
Antelope! I don’t know what a canteloupe is; is it American?

favorite bottled water:
I don’t really mind. It has to be still though.

macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, or string cheese? why?
Grilled cheese in a toastie, because it’s the food of the Gods.

what is the most interesting thing that has happened to you in the past 24 hours?
To be honest not a lot has happened to me in the last 24 hours. When I was getting off the bus this morning I had a strange thought about time but I’m not sure I could write it down. On Saturday night I had a friend over and we made ourselves paper masks though, that was fun.

favorite historical figure and why:
William Shakespeare. Incredible, genre-changing writer, and there are so many little interesting facts about him.

two expressions that people use that you hate:
I’m living in the north of England and to be honest, the regional dialect gets to me. So, the geordie terms ‘eeeeeee!’ and ‘I never!’ annoy me most.

three favorite bands/musicians:
Jeff Buckley, The Pixies and The Postal Service.

four favorite books:
’This Perfect Day’ by Ira Levin,
‘Thinskin’ by Emma Forrest,
‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ by Ken Kesey
and
‘Sputnik Sweetheart’ by Haruki Murakami.

five favorite films:
I don’t watch that many films. I like Elephant by Gus Van Sant, The Pianist and cheesy children’s movies.

what are your opinions on the following countries?
-Canada:
One of my best friends is from Canada. I like it for giving me her but not for giving me Sum 41, Avril Lavigne and Celine Dion.
-Scotland:
Despite living about twenty miles from the border, I’ve never been there. But I’m going to a festival there in the summer. I hope it’s not as cold as I imagine it to be.
-Romania
I don’t really have an opinion on it. Is it quite cold?
-Japan
Now this one I have an opinion on. My boyfriend moved there three days ago. We’d only known each other for six weeks, so we’re not really sure about carrying it on as he’ll only be able to see me like, twice a year. He’s teaching children English and I’m really proud. Japan’s a very polite society, and I can count to three in Japanese!

what celebrity do you most want to kill? (we hope you dont really want to kill them, that would be so unchoice) and why?
I wouldn’t want to kill any of them. None of them have offended me personally. Sometimes a celebrity says something stupid but everyone does. Even if they’re not intelligent, you can’t hold that against a person.

best line from a film:
?

which state should be kicked out of the union? (**if you do not live in the states, just humor us)
UMMM.

favorite fictional character:
Sumire from Sputnik Sweetheart.

what is your opinion on the Chicken Soup for the Soul books? (just making sure)
I don’t know what they are.

if all of the cereal mascots got in a fight, who would win and why?
Tony the Tiger.

what is your favorite time of the day and why? (exact minute please)
7.31 – my mum calls. I’m young and I live away from home, I miss her.

what do you hate most about life in general?
People who can’t accept, and people who rant about people they don’t understand.

do you like the band Mornings in the Gym? either way, why?
?

what is the most choice thing you have ever done?
When I was about six a boy who was older than me kept trying to play-fight. I didn’t want to (he was a lot bigger and stronger) so I sort of pushed him away. He fell backwards over a bench and broke his arm. It was all around the school the next day that I was super-strong and scary! Also, I live four hundred miles from home and I moved away the day after my final school exams.

and finally, do you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain?
I prefer White Russians, and I love getting caught in the rain when walking with my love and his dog on the beach.
